Honey Ginger Chicken w/Peppers and Pineapple sounds very good! Your lack of color picture, I would imagine, are due to the color of the plate and adding the rice to the mixture. However, adding the rice had to have made the rice more tastier!! (grin) I think Jim may even be convinced to try this...he could eat around the peppers, and we'd leave out the mushrooms. Thanks for sharing!!

thanks aunt Donna! the Christmas I mentioned was the first one after my parent's divorced and I stayed at the old house....but it wasn't all bad, just not the best. I hope you all start feeling better and uncle marty doesn't catch the bug. love you.

awww thanks mama! we just played scrabble and cards with gram and pap and are going to bed early so we can get up and drive to the hidden valley ski resort....makes me think of the ranch dressing! love you guys! we will be up to visit soon and go to white grass to ski.

Hey Carrie. As always..I enjoyed your blog. So what particular Christmas wasn't awesome? Just curious. We are all (other than Marty) getting over a virus. It was Isaiah Monday night, me Wednesday night and Bella Thursday morning...and Thursday night. She had a little relapse. Hopefully Marty doesn't get sick...we shall see.

I thought for sure there would be a post about the chicken and dumplings! LOL.

That's a great picture of Justin and Ashley. Marty and I watched our wedding video tonight. So fun to watch, but so sad to see my dad. I kept tearing up every time there was a picture or video of him.

I hope we get to see you the next time you're in.

What a nice poem Carrie. Your grandpa would be proud. I have days and weeks that I seem to think of him more...it's like it hits me like a brick wall. He knew how much you loved him and I know you held a very special place in his heart. Until we see him again...which is one of the things that keeps me from feeling like I'm drowning in my own tears at times...we will just have to remember his sweet smile, his generous heart, his red suspenders, and Oh so much more!
